In the wake of the December 11th event in New York City, the destruction was blamed on Remarkables, people with special abilities who’d passed undetected until their powers went haywire in spectacular and deadly fashion. Since late 2023, the government, the public and the world at large have been playing catch-up. Laws have been drafted, lines have been drawn. NYC is still the epicenter of this fundamental shift in reality, and the people caught in between struggle to live their lives in the aftermath. Some look to the government to exert control over this new threat; others fight for the freedom and dignity of Remarkables.
